Five Floors Up Bio :

Five Floors Up is a 4 piece rock band that started life in May 2009 and is based in Kent, South East England. Five Floors Up’s writing and musical influences include Paramore and Skunk Anansie. The four musicians who make up Five Floors Up are dedicated and focused on reaching the main goal: To be recognised world wide and entertain the musical world.

Sophie Green is the singer for the band, with a huge personality and drive to succeed; She has also been recording the soundtrack for a Hollywood film at Abbey Road, called "Planet 51" The film is released this christmas. Sophie’s on stage presence is rivalled by few other performers and is a joy to watch.

Andy Ridgeway is the main creative brain behind the band, as a session guitarist and guitar teacher Andy spends all his time submersed in music. Influenced by bands and artists such as The Beatles, Muse, Greenday, Frank Gambale, Eric Johnson, Evanescence, Larry Carlton and Tommy Emanuel to name but a few.

Kevin Macleod is the Bass Player for Five Floors Up, having started out as a Singer and Guitarist, Kevin has found his new love in the Bass. Brought up on an eclectic mix of music from bands and artists such as Little Village, Muddy Waters, Joni Mitchell, Metallica, Greenday, Audioslave and Rage Against The Machine Kevin has a wide range of styles to draw from.

Neil Stockley is the Drummer in the band, having played in various bands with various styles including metal, funk, jazz and rock and prog rock and influenced by people such as Stewart Copeland, Steve Gadd, Taylor Hawkins, Carter Beauford, Chad Smith, Steve Smith, Neil Peart, Keith Moon, Gary Husband and Travis Barker

Five Floors Up entertained venues in the South East of England including the Waterfront Bar @ BME Rockfest and The Beercart Arms in Canterbury. Five Floors Up are currently booking gigs for a UK tour due to start in August 2009.
